Guitar String Jewelry
These are not just any old guitar strings*. All the jewelry on this page is made from recycled guitar strings from the band Barenaked Ladies. The group changes its strings after every concert, the strings started to pile up and no one had a clue what to do with them. Being an Environmental Science Major in college, I understand the benefits and importance of recycling and helping out our planet. Reverb was nice enough to give me the opportunity to recycle these strings into unique pieces of jewelry. 50% of the proceeds from the sales of the jewelry I make with the strings, will be donated back to Barenaked Planet and Reverb. Though I have applied a product to help protect your skin from an allergic reaction, this is not guaranteed because every person's skin reacts differently when in contact with these metals. The product used will aid against skin irritation and skin discoloration. Please take special care of this jewelry ~ Avoid swimming or bathing with the jewelry. If the jewelry gets wet, dry it immediately. Like most metals, when subjected to certain elements, it may rust and/or discolor.
